Whats the best way to make Chicken on the bone ?
What is the best way/recipie to make Drumsticks/bone Chicken. I like BBQ Chicken. My B/F says Ill never be able to make like his mom who is now past but was a big soul food cooker and made some great bbq wings !
Im Pregnant so the smell of Garlic makes me want to puke, not into lemon either..
I dont like frying foods it smells up the house.
What is Rotel ?
BAKED CHICKEN BARBEQUE
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 c. catsup
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. lemon juice or vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. butter
5 lbs. chicken parts
Seasoned flour
Prepare barbecue sauce: In saucepan, blend salt, pepper, paprika and sugar. Stir in garlic, catsup, onion, water, lemon or vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and butter. Bring to a boil. (Makes 2 1/2 cups.)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Coat chicken with seasoned flour. Brown chicken on all sides. Arrange chicken in shallow pan; spoon sauce over it. Bake 45 to 60 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

Dixie Chicken $7.98 Following Roy Estrada’s departure during the supporting tour for Sailin’ Shoes, Lowell George became infatuated with New Orleans R&B and mellow jamming, all of which came to a head on their third album, 1973’s Dixie Chicken. Although George is firmly in charge – he dominates the record, writing or co-writing seven of the 10 songs – this is the point where Little Feat found its signature sound as a band, and no album they would cut from this point on was too different from this seductive, laid-back, funky record. But no album would be quite as good, either, since Dixie Chicken still had much of the charming lyrical eccentricities of the first two albums, plus what is arguably George’s best-ever set of songs. Partially due to the New Orleans infatuation, the album holds together better than Sailin’ Shoes and George takes full advantage of the band’s increased musical palette, writing songs that sound easy but are quite sophisticated, such as the rolling “Two Trains,” the gorgeous, shimmering “Juliette,” the deeply soulful and funny “Fat Man in the Bathtub” and the country-funk of the title track, which was covered nearly as frequently as “Willin’.” In addition to “Walkin’ All Night,” a loose bluesy jam by Barrere and Bill Payne, the band also hauls out two covers which fit George’s vibe perfectly: Allan Toussaint’s slow burner “On Your Way Down” and “Fool Yourself,” which was written by Fred Tackett, who later joined a reunited Feat in the ’80s. It all adds up to a nearly irresistible record, filled with great songwriting, sultry grooves, and virtuosic performances that never are flashy. Chicken Demos $14.98 This album from Ft. Collins, CO, alt-country band Drag the River is really a “B-sides” album of sorts (more accurately, a “leftovers” album), with much of the material having been previously recorded but not making it to an album. Lead singer Chad Price (also of punk band All) has claimed that Chicken Demos is largely comprised of songs that didn’t make the cut for the band’s debut album, 2000’s Hobo’s Demo’s. Fans of Price’s work in All, or of John Snodgrass’ work with Armchair Martian, may be surprised that Drag the River isn’t more of a hard-edged cowpunk collective; rather, the group shows a real bent toward bruised Americana and classic country, with some guitar distortion and crunch here and there. More distinctly, there’s some really tuneful and mellow country-rock fare with acoustic foundations. (A highlight is the undeniably pretty “She Used to Smile.”) In line with the traditions of country, there’s also a lovelorn, heart-trodden thread running through the lyrics.
