Kenmore Microwave
Need help in choosing a good over-the-range microwave. Any suggestions? Or what to avoid?
I am looking to purchase a new microwave for over the range. I had a Hotpoint that lasted 2 years. I want one that will last, but I am looking for a price range of about 260-360. I’m not buying another Hotpoint. So far, I see a lot of Frigidaire, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, and LG’s.
I have absolutely no room for a counter microwave. My kitchen doesn’t have much counter space. Also, I am looking at the hood/microwave combos. So, they are made for over the range. LG has one with a really good fan system. We also have a vent that removes air up and out of the house.
Here’s what we did. When we remodeled our kitchen, we got a new LG professional range with the ceramic top.
We got rid of the over the stove microwave because if something fell out of it or we dropped something taking it out of the micro, it could damage the new stove top.
Instead, we bought the new LG microwave that is round inside and put it on the counter next to the stove. It has been wonderful! Before, I was always having to reach across the hot stovetop to get things out of the micro. Not anymore. The system was in place when we bought our condo but now we have it right!!
So, please consider getting a countertop microwave.
